Stunning. Sophisticated: The most realistic synthetic golf green money can buy...

You're about to discover the new-age synthetic golf green technology. The grass is so amazing that it's almost better than the real deal. Here's why...

  • Almost zero maintenance
  • Rolls better than real grass
  • Accepts lofted shots (you can land and spin the ball)
  • No pitch marks
  • Long lasting (UV and weather protected)
  • Looks like a real green
  • Will improve your golf

This green technology is called Supreme Greens and it has changed the way people think about synthetic golf greens. The early fake greens were terrible. They were too hard. They were too fast. And they required constant maintenance. These greens looked fine, but they didn't play like a real green.

So the synthetic golf green market has had a bad name. Many consumers have been unhappy - left with a golf green that doesn't cut the mustard.

Enter Supreme Greens...

We've pioneered synthetic golf grass here in Australia. After extensive research and testing we've come up with the very best synthetic golf grass available. It's so good, we use it ourselves.

The bottom line is this. Almost all synthetic golf grass comes from China (there are some exceptions to this rule that are discussed below) and this grass isn't made for golf. They are a hybrid grass adopted from lawn bowls or hockey...

... but these grasses are not suited to golf. These grasses do not allow the ball to be lofted and stopped on a green. The ball "trampolines" from these greens and makes any sort of normal play impossible.

The Science of a Better Golf Green

When a golf ball lands on a green we want it to stop. If the ground is soft then the pitch mark will absorb most of the energy. But herein lies the problem with synthetic greens.

You can't have a soft surface because the ground won't heal like real turf. And you'll be left with a minefield of pitch marks and imperfections that will drive any golfer mad.

Synthetic grass installers have overcome this issue by installing their carpet on hard surfaces. But this means the ball's energy isn't dissipated and it rebounds too strongly.

The science of this is known as the Coefficient Of Restitution (COR). Basically, the COR refers to the ratio of the ball's velocity after impact to the velocity before impact.

COR

All the golfer needs to know is this:

The closer the number is to 1, the harder the golf green. The lower the number (within reason) the better the golf green will perform.

Most synthetic golf greens will have a COR of around .85 - .92 (it will never be one)

But Supreme Greens have a much lower COR. Testing has shown that our greens have a COR of between .65 and .73.

This is a huge difference and ensures our golf greens perform like the real thing. In fact, when you consider a Supreme Green has almost zero maintenance (no mowing, no watering, no chemicals) it might just be a better option.

We've been able to reduce the COR of our greens through constant testing and refinement. It has taken the best part of 10 years to perfect the process, but it has been worth the effort.

Our biggest difference from our competitors grasses is threefold.

1. Our grass is made for golf. It's soft, yet incredibly strong, so the energy of the ball is absorbed during impact. Plus the soft nature of the grass fibre aids in the spin on the ball gripping the grass. We have the only synthetic golf grass on the market that is made exclusively for golf.

2. Our bases are made for impact absorption, firmness and drainage. This means that the surface is firm to walk on but still allows the ball to stop. It's firm without being rock hard. Plus, our drainage ensures the green is playable after heavy downpours and is low maintenance.

3. We use a propriety infill (Profill) that has also been made exclusively for our golf greens. Most others use sand for the infill - but this has a serious defect.

Sand becomes compacted and turns into concrete when it gets wet. This is why most traditional synthetic golf greens look and work fantastically well in the first few months, but after this they are too hard.

Profill doesn't compact and it's water resistant. It means your green will play with a low COR for years to come.

You've been told you don't need an infill? Well be warned. We have tested every sort of possible combination of grass variety and options. And if you use a short pile grass (that doesn't require infill) you're going to be disappointed. Short pile carpet produces a stupidly fast putting surface that is the hardest going round.
